Who we are

What we collect and why
Inquiry and quotation forms. When you submit an inquiry we store the name, company, email address, phone number, country, product interest and message you provide, together with the page you sent it from, the time and your IP address (used only for spam and abuse prevention). We use this data to answer your inquiry, prepare a quotation and follow up on it. Legal basis: performance of pre-contractual steps at your request and our legitimate interest in responding to business inquiries.
Product-update subscription. If you subscribe in the footer we store your email address and the subscription time and use it to send occasional product and guide updates. You can unsubscribe at any time by emailing us; every message includes a way to opt out.
Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard web-server logs (IP address, requested URL, browser type, timestamp) for security and capacity management, typically retained for a short period.
Cookies and analytics. This website sets no tracking cookies and loads no third-party analytics or advertising scripts. The optional map on the contact page is loaded from Google Maps only when you click "Load map"; Google's privacy policy then applies to that embed.
Where your data is stored
Inquiry data is stored in a database on our web-hosting server and forwarded by email to our sales engineering team in Shanghai, China. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, this involves a transfer of your data to China; we rely on your request for a quotation and, where required, standard contractual clauses for such transfers.
Retention
Inquiries are kept for as long as needed to handle the request and for up to three years afterwards for follow-up and record-keeping, unless a contract or legal obligation requires longer. Subscription data is kept until you unsubscribe.
Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with our hosting provider (as a processor), with freight forwarders or agents when needed to fulfil an order you place, and with authorities where the law requires.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the EU/UK GDPR and China's Personal Information Protection Law) you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, email jensen@millenium-electric.com. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
