Oil-Immersed Distribution Transformers

Three-phase oil-immersed distribution transformers from 100 kVA to 4,000 kVA at 10, 11, 22, 33 and 35 kV, built to IEC 60076 with copper or aluminium windings.

Oil-immersed distribution transformers remain the workhorse of outdoor networks: mineral oil both insulates and cools the windings, so the unit runs cooler, tolerates overloads better and costs less per kVA than a dry-type equivalent. Millenium winds copper or aluminium coils on CNC machines, stacks and vapour-phase dries the core and tanks each unit in-house, then routine-tests it to IEC 60076 before dispatch.

The line covers 100 kVA to 4,000 kVA at 6.6, 10, 11, 13.8, 20, 22, 33 and 35 kV, in hermetically sealed or conservator designs, with off-circuit tap changers as standard and on-load tap changers, low-loss cores and ANSI/IEEE or GOST variants on request.

Oil-Immersed Transformers — frequently asked questions

Which standards do Millenium oil-immersed transformers follow?

IEC 60076 as standard, with GB, ANSI/IEEE C57 and GOST variants for specific markets. The family is CE type-approved (ECM), carries UDEM attestation to EN 60076-1 and an EAC declaration for the Eurasian market.

Sealed tank or conservator — which should I specify?

Hermetically sealed corrugated-tank units up to about 2,500 kVA need no breather maintenance and suit humid or dusty sites; conservator designs with a Buchholz relay are usual above 2,500 kVA or where a utility specification requires gas-and-oil protection.

Can I get copper windings and low-loss cores?

Yes. Every unit is made to order — choose copper or aluminium windings, standard or low-loss (S13/S20-class) cores, and specify guaranteed no-load and load losses in your enquiry.

Can’t find the exact rating?

The catalogue shows typical configurations. Every product is built to order — send your single-line diagram or spec and we will quote the exact unit.
