Project sheets and reference configurations

Engineering sheets for a delivered 33 kV/11 kV substation in Kenya and fourteen representative configurations — solar, wind, mining, microgrid, industrial and storage — across Africa, the Middle East, Asia, Europe, Oceania and Latin America. Each sheet explains the engineering problem, the system configuration, the installation sequence and what we need to quote a comparable project.

The Kenya project is a delivered and commissioned installation. Sheets marked reference design illustrate a typical configuration of that equipment type in a plausible national setting; the images are representative visualisations, not photographs of a specific customer site.

Markets and standards we build for

Frequency and standard by market
RegionTypical standardFrequency
Europe, UK, TürkiyeIEC 60076 / IEC 62271 (CE, UDEM)50 Hz
Middle East & AfricaIEC, with utility specifications50 Hz (60 Hz in Saudi Arabia)
Southeast Asia & OceaniaIEC / AS-NZS references50 Hz (60 Hz in the Philippines)
North AmericaANSI / IEEE C57, UL-style60 Hz
Latin AmericaANSI/IEEE or IEC by country60 Hz (Brazil, Mexico) / 50 Hz (Chile, Argentina)
CIS / EAEUGOST, EAC declaration50 Hz

Frequency is not decoration. A 50 Hz core design is not interchangeable with a 60 Hz one, and pad-mounted or pole-mounted units for the Americas follow different voltage classes, BIL levels and terminal conventions. Each project sheet states the frequency and standards basis it was written for.

For any comparable enquiry, Millenium can adjust the voltage ratio and tapping range, capacity, vector group and impedance, offer copper or aluminium windings, and provide oil-immersed or cast-resin construction with the cooling class, enclosure IP rating and protection scheme the site requires.
