HV & LV Switchgear

Medium-voltage switchgear, ring main units and low-voltage distribution panels — KYN28, HXGN, SF6 RMU, GGD, GCS, GCK and MNS series from 400 V to 33 kV.

15 products

Millenium fabricates, wires and tests medium- and low-voltage switchgear on its own sheet-metal and assembly lines. The MV range covers KYN28-type withdrawable vacuum circuit-breaker panels to 12 kV and 24 kV, HXGN fixed panels, SF6 and solid-insulated ring main units to 33 kV, and gas-insulated compact switchgear; the LV range covers GGD fixed, GCS/GCK withdrawable and MNS modular panels for distribution, motor control and power-factor correction from 400 V to 1,000 V.

Assemblies are built to IEC 62271-200 and IEC 61439-1/-2 with the internal-arc classification, busbar rating, protection relays and communication interfaces (Modbus, IEC 61850, DNP3) the project specifies.

Switchgear — frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a ring main unit and metal-clad switchgear?

A ring main unit is a compact, sealed switching unit for looped distribution networks with limited protection functions; metal-clad (KYN28-type) switchgear uses withdrawable vacuum circuit breakers in separate compartments for primary distribution with full protection, metering and higher fault ratings.

Which LV switchgear types do you offer?

GGD fixed panels, GCS and GCK withdrawable panels and MNS modular assemblies, built to IEC 61439-1/-2 with ratings to 6,300 A and IP30–IP65 enclosures.

Can the switchgear be pre-configured with protection relays and SCADA communication?

Yes. Panels are supplied with the relays, CTs, VTs and metering specified, and can communicate over Modbus RTU/TCP, IEC 61850 or DNP3.

Can’t find the exact rating?

The catalogue shows typical configurations. Every product is built to order — send your single-line diagram or spec and we will quote the exact unit.
